Hi Ron,

The reason I have to do the copy/paste is that I have a great deal of
'extra' information that must be inserted into the family story such as
memories from my living family, LOTS of newspaper articles, obituaries,
historical information about the places they lived, etc.

If I just enter these things into Legacy as Events and then save it as an
.rtf file in Legacy, it just shows up as long lists of Events for each
person separately, with way too much repetition. I want these things to show
up as a 'chronological family story' so that they are not repeated for each
person.
