Beth, I guess that you mean the scroll bar on the right. Try going to Options>Customise>View and set child columns to "best fit" or to whatever number you prefer (bottom left of the screen). I use best fit and when the list is full I right click on the last name to add brother/sister.

Just go ahead and add the next child...the "over-flow" screen for the next child opens automatically. It is the slide at the end of the children's list in the family view on the right side. When I have more children that the 3 section list of children will handle, by opening the slide I can add more children. It is just gone. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Fry <[email protected]> To: LegacyUserGroup <[email protected]> Sent: Wed, Sep 21, 2011 3:10 pm Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Date won't change and slide for more children is gone On 2011/09/21 23:53, Beth wrote: > I am unable to change a birth date even after I delete what is there and add > correct date, the orginial date will pop in again and delete the new date. > And the slide that allows more children has dissappeared. I presume that you are referring to the horizontal scroll-bar at the bottom of the Children portion of the Family tab? If not what and where - we would prefer Window titles. If you right-click on a child's name, a context menu pops up. Click on View and select the option that is most appropriate to you. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
