I have reserved 4 tags for my 4 grandparents surnames. I want to tag branches of people appropriately, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it. If I pick a grandparent, I'd like to tag both descendants and ancestors with their surname (Say tag1 represents COOK). If I tag just the line, I do not seem to be getting the some of the people I wish to include, such as a souses parents or siblings.
If I tag all related in the line (and I believe only when I do the ancestors), then it seems that may entire database gets tagged. In this case I am guessing that coming down from my grandparent to me, and then everyone in my file has a connection to me (as I am the hub person, so to speak) so people in my moms line get tagged as part of my dads line. Somehow the 4 color coding figures this out ok.
