I think that comment is simply a digital watermark embedded in the census jpg. It was probably scanned using LEAD Technologies software and it automatically places the watermark in every scan. By default the box is going to be checked to give you the oportunity to add this stuff.
I do not add these comments and I unchecked the box so that I won't be bothered with it any more. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lavern Hall" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, September 25, 2011 11:24:05 AM Subject: [LegacyUG] adding a census photo question Hello everyone, I'm trying to follow the steps in the process of adding a census record, but when I tried to attach the photo of the census to an individual's event, I got this message: "This picture contains embedded comments: LEAD Technologies Inc. V1.01. Would you like to put them in the Description field? ___ Yes or ___No" There also is a box on the bottom of that screen where you can put a check mark to "Always show this message." The box is currently checked but I didn't check it . I don't understand the question so I don't know how to answer it, and I don't know what to do with "always showing the message" either. Would appreciate some direction....
