My point is that your risk in an HTML e-mail is *identical*, no more, no less, to a webpage. Are people who post webpages bad 'netizens'? What is a web page --> it's HTML, almost always with graphics. Do > those LUG'ers that block HTML never surf the web? HTML can have 'nasties' embedded in it. How do you think people's machines get hacked? With normal web pages, we usually know what we're letting ourselves in for. With stuff embedded in an HTML email, there is no such guarantee. Windows will, if instructed by code within the HTML, run something that it may nor be authorised to run. Result - PC potentially hacked. So, be a good netizen and think about the rest of the world. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
