Yes, that is correct IF you have Word selected as your default
wordprocessor in Windows. If Lefacy persists in opening Wordpad when
you want it to open Word, then it will do no harm at all to enter the
path to Word in that box.

No, I select the correct file in Word and the

I'm rather confused when you say "I select the correct file in Word."
When you attaching a Word file in Legacy you do not open Word. You
simply navigate to the place where you have stored the document through
the Explorer window which opens when you click "File."

You mention elsewhere that you have the file open in Word. I have an
idea what is happening. If you have had a headstone file attached in
Legacy and you are trying to change it to a different one, when you try
and open it and it is still open in Word Legacy says it can't open it
and reverts to the original version. If that is the case, remove the
file which is attached in Legacy (in the Picture Gallery window with the
file in focus click Remove), make sure the new file is NOT open in Word,
flick File and navigate to the new file.

Legacy does not actually store pictures and files, it only stores the
PATHS to them. If you are double-clicking on a File icon in Legacy, the
file which opens is the one that has been attached there. If it's the
wrong one you need to remove the link and attach a new one.
doesn't it sound like that old first
