Tony,
As I remember the threads, a problem with using addresses for storing detail
locations is they don't print everywhere.  Or their notes don't.  You might want
to check the archives.  Also, you might want to do some tests in the sample
database to see how it looks both ways (address in location, address in address)
in the reports / charts you use the most.  Of course, there are myriad report
options to try out, too.  One by-product of flexible software is infinite
choices!

Subject: [LegacyUG] How to record this location.

Some time ago, I was advised by Legacy support that I should only keep
towns, villages etc. in the location list and that street addresses and
similar should be kept separately.

I have just discovered a family member who was killed in action during
WW1.  He died as a result of enemy action, aboard a British submarine
and the citation says that his body was never recovered for burial.

When I enter the date of death, I have a location field, a death address
field and a medical notes/cause of death available.  What is the best
way to use these?

Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks

Tony
