Vicki, I use the 'User ID' for a numbering system. I am #1, my father is #2, 
mother is #3, Father's father is #4, Father's mother is #5, Mother's father is 
#6, Mother's mother is #7. The man's number is double on the direct line  
ancestor with the wife being the next number. The children are numbered under 
the parent in date order, ie, my father would also be listed under his father 
as 4.3 because his was the third born child. If you are interested in this
