Kathy,

The colours on the pedigree charts are based on the Ancestor colours
which start from only one person in the file, usually yourself or one of
your children. Only the direct ancestors of that starting person are
assigned colours. If you want colours on someone else you will have set
the ancestor colours with that person as the starting person.

I have also forwarded a copy of this to our mail list coordinator. He
will check your subscription

Thanks.

After viewing the webinar on correct filing by colour and also how you can
add colours to a five-generation chart in Legacy I set all the preferences
to print a pedigree chart in five colours. I chose myself as the beginning
person for the five-generation chart and can print a pedigree file in colour
and also see the colours in Legacy.

However, if I choose another person to print a five-generation pedigree
chart, it is not in colour. Is there a setting I can change so I can print
the five-generation colour chart for anyone else in Legacy and still have
the colours?

If someone has the answer, could you also answer me off list as I never
receive any Legacy emails, no matter how often I subscribe and no matter how
often I email the administrator to ask how I can receive emails. And of
course if anyone knows a quick solution as to how I can see the Legacy
emails, I would appreciate that information as well.

Thanks.

Kathy Jones
