If you add your family via gedcom you can include sources and notes. I use this process whenever I find a family missing in its entirety from nFS.

Does this not transfer automatically? Nope. Not until FamilySearch gives Legacy the ability via an (API) application programming interface to do so. As far as I know, there is no time frame.
