David, I'm fine thanks - I've only been away in (very) Sunny Spain for a couple of weeks, and to me that seems like a very short time indeed, too short actually!
OK, I do not like the Picture Centre, so really do not know much about it's workings, but will take a look. Firstly, a probably useless basic question, the images are where you think they are aren't they; I guess so because you say you search for them? However, I would appreciate some clarification of > I find the file, click on, and it > takes me back to the 'Browse for the file...' box, to find the next > picture. When you find the image and click on it, you then need to click 'Open' to get it into Legacy; I am not certain from what you are saying that you are taking this step. One other thing, if I had not used Legacy for some time I would do a File Maintenance, running all the options, and have you updated to the latest version? Hope you are keeping well. That's exactly what I thought, but nothing seems to be linking up at all. All my file names are unique. Nothing seems to be 'sticking'. I must be making a very basic error. If I go to the 'Picture Centre' and find the folder where I keep all my FH pictures, by using the 'Browse' feature, then no photos are listed under picture file name? Now I know the photo's are there 'in reality'. So I can't seem link them this way either. What could I be doing? I do have a fairly long address for the photos i.e. C:\Users\David S Brookes\Documents\FamilyHistory\Linked Documents\Photographs\*photofilename*. Would the length of the 'address' make any difference?
