When I did it, when I clicked on "Select Filename and start export" the
Save dialog box opened at C:\Legacy\Gedcoms and I saved it there, but
that could be a folder I created rather than a standard Legacy-created one.

If you go to File>Export to>Gedcom file... now and just click on the
"Select filename and start export" button (without bothering to select
anything else) you will get the Save dialog box and at the top it will
show what folder it is looking at and you should see your recently saved
Gedcom.  Back out without saving anything.
