Sherry or others, I am concerned about leaving my User Account Control to NEVER NOTIFY when changes are made to my computer. Should I be concerned or is there a potential for possible hackers, etc.?
I changed this setting because Sherry pointed out that on the website for Windows 7, it is the recommended setting for Legacy. Until I did this, I was not able to save (and print out) my error report when transferring a gedcom into Legacy. After I made the change, I got the log ok. So, the question is - should I / do some of you change this to a safer setting when not working with Legacy or do you worry about this setting at all? -- Jerry - MerriamFamilyTree.org Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
