Thanks Paul - I hadn't spotted the incorrect alternative father (himself). Now 
I just need to figure out how to correct it - the contributor is blank on the 
information screen and 'unknown' on the LDS site - at least it wasn't me!

Without actually seeing the person it's hard to know. Offhand, I would suspect 
that either there are multiple birth dates for the father, or the son, or 
perhaps multiple parent links. Do any of those apply?

Since it's public data (deceased people) perhaps if you posted the NFS person 
ID others could look at it and comment.

Has anyone seen this error? I have a FamilySearch person with a warning that 
one of the parents (father) was under 13 when they were born. The father is 
correctly noted as born in 1818 and the son in 1841. To my reckoning this is
23 years and not an error. Is this a Legacy error or an LDS error?
