I have been indexing the 1940. I lucked up yesterday and indexed a maternity ward in Virginia. All the patients were white, female, born in VA and I was able to ditto all the way down the page! J J J and yes, that is how I got access to the nFS, I have been in indexer for 2 years J

I volunteer with the LDS (no, not a member) to index. Yesterday I indexed a military base in Delaware for the census then did several other indexing projects. After you learn how to do it you can tell them what states you want to index and when they are uploaded they will let you know and you can start indexing your states. Also, when you sign up to index they will "usually" give you access to the NFS. Try it, it is a lot of fun. The sooner we all join and get it done the sooner we can get back to searching for our families. -- Myrna J --- On Tue, 4/3/12, Michele Lewis <[email protected]> wrote: From: Michele Lewis <[email protected]> Subject: RE: [LegacyUG] 1940 Census status - slightly off-topic To: [email protected] Date: Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 6:41 AM I already said I was kidding.
