IMHO the actual address is more important than the order the taker walked the block that day. But I haven't seen the instructions from the Feds yet for the 1940 census. I can wait a few days until I finally get on.

Which would you suggest to be used for "dwelling," the number on the census for "house number", or "no. of household in order of visit?'"
