Julia, Unlike some, I do not have a Census Event, but everybody on the census record does have a Residence Event (although I do not include non-family members, except in unusual circumstances!). I attach the census image to the Source for this Event, and hence everyone named has the image path attached to their Residence Event. The same source, with the attached image path, is used for any other Events recorded for the individual(s), which may include the Vital Events, and others - such as Occupation.
Thus, all the people recorded in my files have the image attached from every Source which I use for them, which may include, BMDs, war records etc. etc.. I would like to know how other people handle the attaching of census images for their sources. Do you attach a census image for every census source used? Or do you only attach the image just for direct lines and transcribe it in the source detail for extended families? Thanks!
