That is my problem. >> As explained earlier, the drag and drop does not merge or link. It adds to the new database as unlinked individual. If you would drag and drop his siblings, you could merge them, and Legacy would probably then notice that the one you dropped needed linking. It is easy to link. In the new database, click Link to an existing son (daughter), [in a blank child space] and find the one that goes there. I usually include more of the family, parents especially, and when I merge them the children fall into place. I assume there are notes and events that go along with the imported individual. If all you are importing is the information on the Add Individual screen, you can just edit and save the individual in the old DB, then add in the proper place in the new DB and click the <name> of each field to have it copy what was just saved.
