Naomi, I refer to my first post, which your second seems to confirm is accurate. It is up to yourself to work through the ancestors concern to find the incorrect links. It is not due to duplicates, but rather to some individual(s) being linked more than once. I would start by seeing if they are linked to more than one parent, Search>Find>Miscellaneous Search> more than one parent.
