Mike, Great! I have been using it all my life and didn't know what it was called. I guess they meant you are exploring Windows by going into the Computer. What a weird approach. Guess I will stick to explaining to people using the generic terms. Using the term Windows Explorer can cause utter confusion ... as it has right here on Legacy.

There's one, very special icon, on your machine. It's labelled Computer. Open it and you're using Windows Explorer. It's what allows you to see individual folders and files on your disk(s), hence the name. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
