Jenny, This is probably not what you wish. I respect all your posts. My word isn't worth much, and I will wait for the flame, but I personally drill it right down to the FHL Film and item, page number. For me, my descendants will be able to go to that source with a great deal of certainty. FHL Födde 1736-1812, 1814-1861 INTL Film 144842 Items 1 - 4 I work with a company that provides me Parish records. They have scanned the films from the Swedish National Archives and have their own numbering system. I can also drill those down to the actual film and page without using the company so when I stroll into the parish :) Curve Ball.. I use boards.ancestry.com ... for help with my translations. I just stick that url and the translation in notes/research. If they disappear, so what. I was trying a different approach with that in the citation. Didn't look good. -- Tim Rosenlof Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
