When I use info found on an Ancestry Tree I use a Master Source (Basic Sources, not Source Writer) which I called Ancestry Public Member Trees – in the Source Detail I will then add the username and the name of the tree. To find it again I simply search Public Member Trees for the individual who is being sourced, then look through the results until I find the tree owned by that username. (I do wish though that Ancestry would let us search for specific Member Trees – either by username or tree name.)

For Family Search, even if I find it online, I include the film no. and the name of the original collection. The biggest problem I have is how to cite an Ancestry Tree so that it can be found again. I haven't found a way to search on the Tree name. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Shirley York Anderson [email protected] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
