I am using Legacy 7.5 Deluxe Edition. I created a master source record for information found in an online database by selecting the Birth records > Birth register > created at city/local level > online database template. Having entered a bunch of data, I now see two problems that I am now sure how to deal with.
1. I would like to note the URL associated with a particular record (rather than with the entire database), but I don't see a corresponding field in the template. There is a URL associated with the source info, but I want a separate URL for each record. 2. The template I selected (as a best guess at the time), was the Birth records template as noted above. The database, however, contains marriage and death records as well. Of course I can leave the template as is, but I am wondering if there is a reason for the hierarchical classification of the templates to start with the "birth records" rather than with "vital records" or some other, more generic, classification. As follow-on question, if there is a better template to use, can I swap out the source without affecting all the details, or will I have to re-enter all the detail records for individual events? In addition, a somewhat related question: 3. If a specific record in a database provides evidence for more than one event (e.g., date of birth and date of death), must I duplicate the detail for each event, or can I specify that the details should be attached to more than one event (possibly on different individuals)?
