This is a problem I've run into as well. My core family is so large that it can't be saved. I've had to do it in 6 sections : first three generations, then the only surviving child's family from the first marriage, then each of the four sons from the second marriage and so on. Each chart overlaps with the previous one slightly. I've put husbands or wives who've married into the family under each other and dropped families below unmarried/childless/deceased children and closed the families up. Some generations have been shifted out of alignment but with each one a different colour it still shows which generation is which. It would be useful if the descendent chart could be arranged vertically instead of horizontally, similar to the ancestor chart. -- Charani (UK) OPC for Walton, Ashcott, Shapwick, Greinton and Clutton, SOM http://wsom-opc.org.uk Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
