JL: What I'm understanding at this point is that Family Tree and new.FamilySearch are just different views of the same database but they each have slightly different capabilities. I log on to new.FamilySearch directly or through Legacy but go to Family Tree via FamilySearch.org. I believe you're probably correct in guessing that Legacy will switch over to Family Tree at some point. Maybe that's what version 8 is about?

I've just opened FamilySearch inside Legacy and I can go to nFS as before. I thought there was a way to go from there to Family Tree but I guess not. It's the same login but not a connected location yet. I'm guessing when it's time Legacy will make the change to link up to Family Tree directly. In the meantime, if I use Legacy to upload more information to nFS will it also show up in Family Tree? Everything I put up to nFS last year is also on FamilyTree. Just not sure how that would work right now. --- JL Beeken JLog - simple computer technology for genealogists http://www.jgen.ws/jlog/ On 7/13/2012 10:20 PM, Kirsten Bowman wrote: > I’ve been reading Helps and Tutorials at FamilySearch.org and *believe* > I understand that trees now at new.FamilySearch are going to be moved to > something called Family Tree with significantly improved > tools/capabilities.
