JL,

you're right about Legacy and '.tiff' but as I always stored my files for at
least the last 10 years as compressed file I couldn't use them. I prefered to
use the 'LZW-compression' as it had a great result.

With the sentence

"As Legacy only works with '.jpg' files you can restart any time with out any
los of information and have a new '.jpg' file."

I meant that storing the original picture as a '.tiff' and then working at it as
a '.jpg' he has the possibility to start from scratch and not loosing any
information.

Legacy can work with TIFF's but they have to be uncompressed.

To save space with scanning TIFF's you can use LZW-compression which is
loss-less and then reconstitute by re-saving with the compression option of
None.

Bernhard, what does this line mean?

"As Legacy only works with '.jpg' files you can restart any time with out any
los of information and have a new '.jpg' file."
