How do you access your Gmail mail? Are you using an emal program on your computer (Thunderbird, Outlook, etc) where you download the mail to your computer, or are you viewing it at Gmail on the web?
If the latter, is the first copy of your own post the 'sent' copy, and the second one the one sent by the list? Click on the down-arrow next to the "to" address to see more detail, and you'll see the difference, I expect. I find that with the LUG, unlike the mailing lists at Rootsweb and some others that use a different mailing list program to the LUG, I *do* get a copy of my own posts back from the list. This means that when you're viewing the mail via a web browser, you do see these two separate copies one after the other. Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy Pat Hickin said the following on 21/07/2012 5:30 a.m.: > Whenever I send an original email or reply to this group, it posts > twice -- how come?? > > Pat Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
