RIN 3 and RIN 55 are two different people. Actually grand mother and grand
daughter

Marie,

I just made that point myself - before I saw that you had! Yes, I did
receive two copies :-)

As you say, the puzzle here is that RIN 3 was born in 1890, and yet appears
first in the kid's in Family view, but because there is no dob. Are they
supposed to be sorted by date of birth, and do you have "show 1/2 kids
set" - right click on any kid in Family View>View>Show 1/2 kids? Although it
is difficult to read the dates and numbers, at least on my machine, this
could indicate the presence of duplicates, or two marriages.

I have had similar problems myself but only after merging, usually manually,
in your case that would be either RIN 3 or one of her parents - the family
wasn't by any chance put in from a GEDCOM was it? Looking at RIN 3, I would
try Search>Find>Detailed Search for an Individual with a RIN equal to 3 and
see what is returned, I would also try the same search to look for an
Individual Given Name: Elizabeth AND surname: Sporer and see that return
also. It may be that you will be able to spot a duplicate.

If no luck there, you could consider just deleting RIN 3 (having noted all
the data, of course) and then adding a Elizabeth Sporer (NOT using RIN3 -
you can always change it later - you may need to remove the check mark from
Options>Customise>Data Defaults so that RINS are not reused).

Those are my current thoughts, but I may think of something else yet!
