Thanks for everyone's help. First I used DropBox to get it available for the iPad. Next I purchased QuickOffice ProHD and was able to successfully open the file. Although the file is very slow to open due to the size, I can at least view it and work with it in Families for entry if I want or be able to search the file if I need to.
