Hi Emily,

A free program that I find indispensible is IrfanView. Here you can add/view 
IPTC Data, view the EXIF info, Image Properties, and it has a 'Comments' 
section, although the latter may not be viewable by other programs. It is also 
a reasonable photo editor.

Is there anything better than Adobe Photoshop Elements for adding IPTC 
information to scanned images that one wants to use within Legacy?  Can you add 
IPTC information with Heritage Collector or Legacy?  It is my understanding 
that if you enter the information via Adobe Elements, it will transfer Legacy.
