That lets me see the numbers and I could print them. I finally found it in help 
where I should have looked from the first. I wanted to renumber the whole list 
since some of the main people had high numbers. Found out I could change one at 
a time and the person who was changed would be assigned the number left by the 
person changed. It wasn't doing what I wanted (to use as a user id in some 
semblance of chronological order) so I decided to abandon that idea and just 
assign my own numbered folders for each of the main families in my directory. 
Someday I hope I can find an id system that works for me.
