Perhaps Jane will clarify her needs and we can then give some better advice.

The difficulty with using the Detailed Search is that it produces a Name list, which is difficult, if not impossible, to sort in a place order. One other thing, we are both assuming that Jane means the Location List, she could equally mean the Address List. You will see six tabs across the top of the window that opens. Click on Detailed Search. Then select Individual in Search for Whom? In Where to Look select Event-Place. In How to look select Contains and in What to look for type Clay County, IL. Make sure that the second condition is NOT selected and click on Create list near the bottom of the window. This should give you the list you want. Follow Ron’s instructions to sort your list. I click on "search" and get "Find". I click on that but I do not get a box in which to enter what I am searching for. I just downloaded the latest version. I am looking for any person who has any entry for "Clay County, IL". My Master Location list finds some, but I must have messed up entering the locations because I cannot get it to sort by "State". When I ask it to do so, it still is sorted by County name. I feel like I started with Legacy yesterday, instead of year ago.
