Jane, I think what you have to do is open Legacy. Up in the top right corner of the window (just left of the X to exit you will see a square. Click on that and resize your legacy window so it fits only half of your monitor.
Open your browser, repeat the same operation to resize the window so it fits in the other half of your monitor.
