I have been reading all of the comments. I don't see why all that trouble is necessary. I am using Windows7. There is a taskbar at the bottom of the screen. I have "pinned" all of the software that I use regularly to that taskbar. In addition to Legacy and my web browser (Firefox), I also use a text editor and WordPerfect. I go back and forth all the time between the various programs, usually cutting or copying and pasting.
By doing it this way, I always have a full screen for whatever I am using, and I do it all with one monitor. I have used a split screen in WordPerfect and once in Legacy, but those are unusual circumstances.
