The search string I see is (all on one line in the event posting
breaks it apart):

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/search/all-records/results?forename=John&surname=Smith&fromYear=1900&toYear=1960&Region=UK&_includeSurnameVariants=on&_includeForenameVariants=on&Search=Search

So, you would need to use UK.

Looking at the markup, the quoted strings beside value="..." are the
other options you could try as well...
<option value="UK">Britain</option>
<option value="United States,Australasia,Ireland">All (excluding
Britain)</option>
<option value="United States">United States</option>
<option value="Australasia">Australia / New Zealand</option>
<option value="Ireland">Ireland</option>
