You 'lose' the SW formatting! >That's why gedcoms are *not* appropriate for backing up your Family >File or sharing it with other Legacy users I guess that's where we disagree. A 'Legacy format' GEDCOM should be appropriate to back up or share with other Legacy users. At the very least it should be an option ... do you wish to export SW sources as SW or Basic? Can you tell me of any other Legacy feature that does not export/import properly (other than deleted RINs/MRINs or history data)? If it were not for THIS failure, a 'Legacy format' GEDCOM would be appropriate to back up or share with other Legacy users. -- bgsu Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
