It sounds as though you are very unclear about how Sourcing works in Legacy. To put it at its briefest, you create a Master Source which is fairly generalised and then using that Master Source as the "base", you add Source Details which are very specific. You may use the same Master Source many times over, but the Source Details will vary. For example, you may have the title, author, publisher etc of a book as a Master Source. For one person, the Source Details may include "page 6", for another person they may include "page 10." I suggest you look at Help>Show Help Index and on the right-hand side click on Tutorial Lessons, then scroll down to Sources and read up on "How to document your Sources." -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
