One big tip! Have one family file that is your master. Once that is cleaned
up and you have your data input formatted to your standards, then whenever
you get new information via a GEDCOM or other source. Do not import it
directly into your master file! Import it into a new file then you can clean
that file up (ie format locations, merge duplicates, delete those you do not
want) then when it is cleaned up then you can import the actual people you
want to add to your file. There is a lot of help info on this in the help
files. Look under splitting family file and split screen.

Yes that is understood and I look forward to meeting other members of
the list. Coming over to new software and trying to correct past errors
is a challenge.
