Thanks for your swift answers!  -- and apologies for the all-caps!

I'm using Adobe 10.1.4 for viewing the .pdf.

But I think the problem must be with Legacy, as I just generated a new .pdf
& looked at it while still in the print preview stage (with the Legacy icon
in the upper left corner) & it seems to have the exact same words run
together as the previous 'edition.'  I haven't actually printed anything.

Also there's the spacebar problem I mentioned in my original post.

I don't know how to generate the .pdf outside Legacy, Barry.
