Ron, I agree that the post in question was rather more overt in its presentation that that which is customary, but advertising in one form or another is very common on all mailing lists.
We regularly see suggestions as to how programs such as LTools or Families, not to mention all the add-ons which Legacy recommend/sell, these pass without comment because they are usually suggested in a way that helps a user overcome a problem. These also walk and quack like a duck ! On balance I do think your comment was a little harsh, although I do see where you are coming from. I see his post as sharing something that he's found which can be used along with web pages and the GENDEX index created in Legacy. It doesn't appear that he's promoting his own product, which a commercial would be. He did mention that it supports Legacy's Gendex indexing. Something we can use that index for! The Index can be created by selecting that option on the "Other" tab of the Web Page Creation window. Besides, the site is free!
