I just tried the URL given by the OP. The website looked credible and had places to enter given and surname for a search. I entered a given name and got a drop down list below the surname box. That was a bit alarming, as the list appeared mined from my machine, likely from Firefox. Since I'm running Linux, I don't feel as vulnerable as most and pushed my luck by clicking the appropriate surname and commanding search. That brought a zero hit reported result and a warning that 2 people were spying on me, with an offer of software to identify who. OK, now the picture is clear. ..
This may be judged off topic for the list, but I personally feel it a duty to pass on information which may help others, and should note that my Firefox is obsolete, so may be vulnerable to attacks which are not a problem for current versions. kb ----- Original Message ----- Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
