What's confusing is that there are two Windows 8, one for regular desktops and 
laptops which will run Legacy and most other PC programs.
The tablet version, which is actually called Windows 8 RT, runs on tablets and 
smartphones and will only run programs specifically written for it.
The question to the OP was, which one is he/she running?
