Ltools (www.zippersoftware.com) has a tool in the deluxe version called "Rename Non-Unique Multimedia" which can do exactly what you are requesting. Latest version is 1.3.34.1 which I just checked for this feature. It has a minor bug in it that I reported to the developer and he immediately responded that he would fix it for the next release. All of the updates are free and Dennis is fast with his fixes. The deluxe version is still listed on the web site at $12.95. It paid for itself the first time I used it and now I use it regularly.
