Brian (support) ...219 installed over the old version, reported success, then attempted to open Legacy, failed in the same manner with details identical to previous except for Timestamps and "Additional Information". I followed the option: "If this program didn't install correctly, try installing using settings that are compatible with this version of Windows." Clicked link, same result with Problem signature identical, including Timestamps. I shut down for 10 minutes, rebooted, same crash on invocation, Problem Signature: application timestamp new, Additional Information reverted to exact match with first instance (yesterday), else the same.
Environment: ACER Aspire 5742G-6426, Intel Core i3-370M, NVIDIA GeForce GT 520M, 4GB DDR3, 320 GB HDD. As I see this, there is still possibility of a defective or changed .dll. A defective Legacy.exe is now unlikely, but there is substantial probability of the program issuing bad parameters to a good .dll due to one or more bad files driving the main program. Evidence for this is repeatable failure signatures differing between invocation and installation environments. Simplest route to a working program would then seem to be: uninstall Legacy via Legacy uninstaller; delete Legacy Folder and contents; clean reinstall and retry as Free; enter customer number and retry as Deluxe. Failure then would point to either defective .dll or that there is a class of Windows machines with which Legacy is not (or no longer) compatible. If you have interest in more details, files or a different procedure for Support purposes, let me know and I will cooperate and preserve data, else I'll proceed as above.
