See, here again I maintain that the word ‘marriage’ is defined culturally and
subject to interpretation. If I have a relative who is in a long-term,
committed relationship with a same-sex partner, I will probably want to link
them in Legacy (as best I can). I really don’t care whether or not they had a
wedding event that was recognized as legal by some government jurisdiction.
(But I would capture that event if it did happen.)

And, Washington State is not on the east coast, of course. It’s immaterial
anyway, as I doubt that Legacy developers let personal biases influence their
decisions to implement new features. (Some individuals might, but not a team
running a competitive business.) We’ve been told many times that the problem is
deep within the database structure and would require a major redesign.

Mike I am not sure the where matters so much as the fact that same sex
marriages are being made legal on a fairly regular basis. I would be hard to be
updated. <G> Maybe wait until v9 <G>

For all that has been, thanks.
For all that will be, yes.

Notice. All on the East Coast. Developers are based in Utah!
