Anne, I don't have an event for that sort of thing.  You could enter the 
information in the father's General Notes.  Or if you really want an event, you 
can use Occupation and over-ride the sentence structure, or set up a generic 
Event of your own.  I have one called "NOTES" and it has no default wording; 
the sentences depend entirely on what you enter in the fields.  I'm assuming 
you want to record this for the father, not for the child/baptism...?

Subject: [LegacyUG] Pauper ancestor


I have an ancestor who married in 1777 and had 10 children between 1778 and 
1795. On only one baptism record (dated 1785) he was described as a pauper. 
This is obviously not an occupation (they are not recorded on the baptism 
register) so what is the best way of recording this information please?
