Anne, I don't have an event for that sort of thing. You could enter the information in the father's General Notes. Or if you really want an event, you can use Occupation and over-ride the sentence structure, or set up a generic Event of your own. I have one called "NOTES" and it has no default wording; the sentences depend entirely on what you enter in the fields. I'm assuming you want to record this for the father, not for the child/baptism...? --Paula in Texas Researching: Adair Baker Beasley Benson Betz Bigley Blagrave Burton Chapman Clement Clough Coppernoll Costine Daulton Dinwiddie Doody Ellis Exline Field Floran Floyd Gates Goodale Gordon Gump Hale Harbaugh Hind Hopkins Hughes Hurdle Jones Klein Koyle Laswell McDonald Misner Passwaters Pelton Roberts Roche Ryburn Sanford Short Singer Sullivan Weller Williams

On only one baptism record (dated 1785) he was described as a pauper. This is obviously not an occupation (they are not recorded on the baptism register) so what is the best way of recording this information please?
