The lf.jpg file is a place holder for those files that are linked using
the Files button. Since Legacy cannot display the .pdf, .doc or whatever
other file format has been linked using that button it uses lf.jpg as
the "picture" for that file in the person's media gallery. Similarly
files that are linked as sounds and videos use a jpg to display a
picture in lieu of the actual file that is linked ls.jpg for sounds and
lv.jpg for videos.

I see that the Picture Centre ignores any ls.jpg and lv.jpg files for
sound and videos (they are not shown on the attached pictures tab) but
does not ignore the lf.jpg file. I suggest you just ignore any lf.jpg
files that show in the picture centre. Use the person's Media/Picture
Gallery and you will see the correct document, video or sound file name
there.
