The Family View only shows the Preferred Picture from the Individual's Picture Gallery. It doesn't draw pictures from the Source, Source Detail or Events.
If you have linked the picture to the Source Detail as well as to the Individual's Picture Gallery, just remove the one in the Picture Gallery. If you've linked it only to the Individual's Picture Gallery, I would suggest that you link it to the Source Detail and remove it from the Individual's Picture Gallery.
