A few years back there was discussion of the pros and cons of storing digital
files as jpg, PDF and other formats. One of the drawbacks of jpg is losing
data with repeated edits and saves. PDF files cannot currently be viewed
within Legacy. Tif has been recommended as the best way to store photo images
for long term purposes.

However, with the advent of searchable PDF and PDF/a (archival PDF standard),
and with a new version of Legacy on the horizon, I'd like to know the thoughts
of others in this group. What format(s) do you prefer and why? Do you prefer
a different format for certain purposes? Do you scan to more than one format?

And, if Millennia is ready to release such information, will pictures and
documents be handled differently in Legacy 8 than in Legacy7.5? If so, what
are the changes we can expect?
