Joe, before taking Jenny to task I suggest you read her messages more carefully. Jenny was replying to Michele Lewis's question NOT yours.
My question would be, why would you want to open it in Access? What> do you want to do that you can’t do within Legacy itself? I am> asking because I have no idea. I have Access on my computer but I> don't have a clue how to use it Don Varner Sent from Alto - altomail.com From: [email protected]<[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, July 24, 2013 Subject: [LegacyUG] RE: Can a Legacy family file be exported into MS Access? Jenny, The reason I'm asking is, some recent posts got me thinking about making global changes in Legacy. There was a question about deleting apostrophe globally. I asked about MS Access because it is an excellent database program. I've used Access before, but actually MS Excel would be good too, but after all, it is a spreadsheet program. BTW, Regarding your comment: unless you really want to concern yourself with getting to grips with Access I wouldn't bother inquiring any further! If you don't like my comment, Don't read it :-) -- There are lots of thing which can be done more quickly or easily ny manipulating the basic database in Access rather than via the limited options in Legacy. But unless you really want to concern yourself with getting to grips with Access I wouldn't bother inquiring any further! -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
